The Wire Harness Fabrication Department manufactures high quality wire harness assemblies for aircraft installation. This includes in-house installation activities performed at Southeast Aerospace, installations performed by SEA personnel at off-site locations, and outside purchased assemblies to installed by a customer.

These assemblies can be as simple as a single wire, to as complicated as hundreds of wires, dozens of different connectors, and breakout and tie points tailor made to be installed in a specific aircraft. We fabricate, test, and inspect all harness assemblies to the highest industry standards by fully qualified technicians and inspectors.

We are proud to have the highest quality standards, and make no compromise when it comes to form, fit and functionality, and aircraft safety.

Spotlight on Zach Riffle, Wire Harness Fabrication Team Lead

zach-harness-seaHow did I come to work at SEA?
Shortly after graduating, Aerotek Staffing got in contact with me, and I began working at Southeast as a contractor through them. After my 6 month contract was finished, I was hired on!

What do I do here?
I assist the other technicians in harness fabrication, continuity checks, length checks, or any other areas where I can be of assistance! I also provide direction or advice, and take care of supervisory duties and whatever else is necessary while our shop manager is gone.

What are my hobbies?
I enjoy playing guitar and learning about technology as it relates to personal electronics.

Some projects the department is currently working on:
• ECM (Electro-Counter Measures) upgrade for helicopters
• Garmin G-1000 STC wire harnesses for installation into a Beechcraft King Air B200
• PRC-152 Harris Radio installation kits for UH-1 Helicopters
• SATCOM STC for a 737NG
• Installation kits for remaining 407MRH
